Our Scented Irish Beeswax Candle comes in a beautiful black glass jar with a bamboo lid and is packaged in a Kraft paper box.

This candle is made from 100% pure Irish beeswax from our Dublin hives.

The Orange and Cinnamon scented Irish Beeswax candle is scented with pure essential sweet orange oil and pure essential cinnamon bark oil and smells deliciously of Christmas cooking! Sweet Orange essential oil is known to help reduce anxiety and promote better sleep.

The Grapefruit and May Chang scented Irish Beeswax Candle is scented with pure essential grapefruit oil and pure essential may chang oil and smells delightfully refreshing and citrussy. Grapefruit essential oil is known to be a natural energiser and mood booster. Its uplifting scent can help to reduce stress. May chang essential oil is known to calm anxiety and to refresh, stimulate and energise.

The Lemon Verbena scented Irish Beeswax Candle is scented with pure essential Verbena oil and pure Lemon essential oil and is deliciously fresh and zingy. Lemon Verbena Essential Oil is delightfully fragrant and has a lemony, herbaceous scent that is considered as uplifting to the spirit. It can help dispel feelings of lethargy, help soothe anxiety and ease feelings of stress.

The Christmas Spice scented Irish Beeswax Candle is scented with pure essential Orange, Cinnamon, Pine and Clove oils. This delicious blend of oils is the true scent of Christmas.

Each candle has a burn time of at least 40 hours dependent on the ambient situation.

Our Irish beeswax candles are handmade by us in Dublin using ethically produced 100% pure Irish beeswax from our own beehives and those of local beekeepers.

Burn time of beeswax candles is at least twice as long as any other kind of candle.

More information on how we get our beeswax:

When we remove the surplus honey frames from our beehives at the end of the summer, the honeycomb has already been capped by the honeybees with a beautiful covering of beeswax to keep it clean and safe.

In order to extract the liquid honey from the frames we first remove the beeswax with a special knife and put the beeswax aside to melt down and clean at a later stage.

This beeswax needs to be melted and filtered a number of times to ensure that it is sufficiently clean to use for making beeswax wraps, candles or balm.

Time consuming but so rewarding to see the beautiful block of clean, fragrant beeswax at the end!

         

Burning instructions for your beeswax candle:

When you light your Irish beeswax candle for the first time it is recommended that you allow your wax melt and form a pool close to the edge of the candle before extinguishing.

This will form a wax wall and prevent tunnelling in subsequent burns.

Keep the cotton wick trimmed to around 5mm before each lighting.
